6 pack-Bindi Sergardi Achille Toscana Rosso 2016. For $72, worth a flyer.

Wow!

Not a peep from anyone today about the Last Bottle offerings.

I grabbed 4 0f the Angela Estate Pinot from Oregon.
That was it.
Anyone else partake of the days deals?

Last year I grabbed some of that Pinot Sleeper that was Copain.
Still have 1 or 2.
This one is way different than that one from the sound of it.

I wish they would have done the black friday and cyber monday sales like they do the marathons. I would be in for 1 bottle of several of their offers, but not 3 bottles of any of them.

Hopefully some of each offer survive for the next marathon and I can snag a few.

Anyone tried the broken earth cab up right now? No notes on CT and only available from the winery so no price comparisons on WS.

I'm on the fence and will probably pass due to the lack of notes. Good luck.

The description makes it sound goopy. There are plenty of Cabs in the world, especially Bordeaux these days, that taste like wine, not jam and toast.

"this is like riding a bucking horse- if that horse was blueberry pie, brambly blackberry preserves, your Mom’s homemade pie crust and vanilla bean."

Easy pass.

What about the Champagne that is offered right now. Any experiences with this producer?

There was a more basic cuvee on offer during one of the marathons, which I tried a few of. It's quite obvious in style, higher dosage and...okay.

$30 a bottle for this isn't a deal in my view. A very small amount of money more can get some much more reliable champagne. RH Coutier's entry level NV, or Diebolt Vallois, or Marc Hebrart for that matter. Easy finds for probably better juice.

Thanks Julian. My goto Champs for $30 are Duval Leroy and Piper Heidsiek.

I am tempted. I am a fan of the Black Kite pinots, although the last ones I opened were from 2012. The wines are on the bigger, richer side but with sufficient acidity that you would expect from Alexander Valley coastal vineyards.

Edited to add: I bit. Got two. With added shipping I am in at $34.

Today's offering: Le Petit Enclos Pomerol 2014

I heard 2014 was mixed for Pomerol, any opinions on this? Something better for around the same price?

There's probably first wines at cru bourgeois level around that money that are better. I am never a fan of buying second wines in "off" vintages (although 2014 certainly isn't a bad vintage). With 2014, there is such value around that you'd be mad to go in on this.

edit: Beaumont 2014 - prime example.
