Retailer Praise: California Wine Merchants

Props to this brand new (2 months) outfit in wayyyyyy lower Manhattan. Taylor Senatore, co-owner, new WB member and a poster “over there” as well, is nothing short of a stand up guy.

I placed an order on Friday to pick up in store today. When I went in, there was a small mix-up and the 1/2 bottle of Cab Franc I had ordered was not in the bag. Unfortunately, they had run out of it in 375ml. Taylor went above and beyond by replacing it with a 750ml of the same wine at the 1/2 bottle price. Awesome store and awesome service.

Went today to pick up my wines. He’s a decent guy indeed. He will contact his email list when his regular stock goes on sale. Some nice wines, and he had a deep knowledge of what he sells.

I got a 375 of 2005 Rame Cab for $20!!

He said he extended the sale just for Jorge. Thanks for the turn-on Jorge…
