Cork comes out in one piece a little too easily. Opens quite musty. A little soy. Bricking on the edges. After a bit the mustiness blows off and a nice tarry flavor comes through. More fruit shows up though it remains more herbal with a little cedar. This was quite nice with a stuffed pork loin, a little tired by itself. On its last legs but a decent old Cab.
That is a nice wine for sure. The 1991 Simi’s absolutely rock.
