The various sites would be ranked by “quality, price and notoriety”. “Notoriety”?!?!?!?

Very curious that the first official attempt at classification of sites in Italy would be in Montefalco and not Barolo / Barbaresco or Montalcino.

Well, we import a producer, Tabarrini, who bottles three different crus so that’s not really new. It’s the idea of making Cru designations official that is new.
