I know this is young, but I just felt like killing a baby last night. Beautiful young wine. Deep purple all the way through. Nose of Black cherries, plum, a bit of oak and what smelled like ‘wet cement’. Big young wine. A touch of sweetness comes through on the mid-palate but it’s not overdone. A ton of grip on the finish along with great aciditiy. This still needs a few more years to come together, but all in all this is a wonderful wine.
Yoni, I tend to enjoy the Justification bottling young as well. So much going on early that I cannot help it. Plus, as a club member the price is right.
Yoni, this used to be a majority Cab Franc. Still so?
Not Yoni…but Justification is traditionally 2/3 Cab Franc and 1/3 Merlot…give or take.
Yup. That’s what the blend is. Cab Franc and Merlot. Tasty wine.
