TN: 05 Lewelling Cabernet

Not a bad wine, but not a great wine. I am sipping some this juice on day 3 (was refrigerated) Mainly black currant juice, simple and very drinkable. 88 points my book.

Kind of a let-down - Lewelling is supposed to be among the very best, even the estate cab. Perhaps it is in an awkward stage now, as I recall the reviews were rather stellar when they first were popped after shipment.

It’s true, the wine showed better 4-5 months ago, when I opened my first bottle.
