I have Corton

Put a white and a red from ’08 next to each other.

2008 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru : Pours out clear, bright and vibrant. It has some smoky mineral and white mushroom development. There is something, and it is only a little something, that is dank from the cork. The fruit is white peach and lemon. It has CC line and is direct, powerful and very long.

2008 Maison Albert Bichot Corton-Clos des Maréchaudes Domaine du Pavillon Grand Cru : Quite dark of colour for the vintage. It has some menthol and pine needle sap to the aroma. Fruit flavours are blood plum and black cherry. It is deep and powerful, with Corton chew and an expansive finish. Starting to drink well but still youthful.
