Wine food pairings you probably never thought of

But, then, you’d never heard of half these grapes.

Well how about that. I guess it was the zeitgeist. Guess what we had with Aligoté last Wednesday.

Gyoza.

Week before we had a weird, strange, Rkatsiteli orange wine that I didn’t pair with anything and finally dumped down the sink. I don’t think it would work with pork ramen.

My wife likes big Napa Cabs with peanuts. Me too sometimes. Gets you kind of a PB&J thing.

if a pairing suggestion for short ribs gave Cabernet Dorsa as a top three choice, or mac and cheese gave Roter Riesling, I’d laugh. But not too worried about choices for someone searching for Cab Dorsa food matches. I assume this some form of search/AI correlation, someone posted on internet about having apple-glazed pork roast with Roter Riesling

If I were you, I’d be concerned that Wine Searcher is tracking your food and wine purchases.

Here is one I like. Southerners like beans and cornbread. I have found that while several wines work, red Bordeaux is my favorite match!

I have had Cabernet Dorsa…twice! Fitz-Ritter!

The second time we had it with roasted capon. Kinda worked.
