TN: Iron Horse Pinot Noir Home Block 2017

A WTSO blind buy at $20

Out of the fridge, day 1: mostly earthy and not much else. Didn’t develop through dinner. Tasted less interesting than my 2017 garnacha that was opened a week ago and from the fridge (don’t judge), and IIRC less interesting than my ABC 2019

Will continue to drink and update, but so far: meh.

Their sparkling portfolio is where it’s at IMO.

I had several bottles of the 2016 vintage of this and it was pretty good. Didn’t order any 2017, so I can’t comment there. I have always found Iron Horse’s PNs are on the delicate and light side.
