My goodness, an astounding rosé!

I admit to not typically being wowed by rosé wines, but I just had an eye opening wine encounter with Kapscandy 2021 Rapszodia rosé.

It’s mostly cab franc and is simply delicious.

It has much more body than I typically see in this wine type and great mouth feel - not to sound silly, but it feels more ‘dense’ than regular rosé. The wine really goes everywhere (anatomically) on my palate, and no overt sweetness and no simple fruits. It’s got complexity and can be pondered as well as quaffed. Red fruit notes predominate, maybe some lilac/lavendar ‘night flower’ notes that are very subtle…like they are looking out at you alluringly from behind a fan.

Now that I’ve had it, I keep thinking about it. Its melody haunts my reverie! [cheers.gif]

I really like this wine and will buy some again.

It is worthy of your consideration. I’d call it a great rosé for people who might typically disdain rosé.
