Charles Heidsieck Rose 2008

Anyone tried this yet? Recent consumption of the 2006 from my cellar has me interested in it, but I’ve not seen any discussion of the 2008.

I bought a few, but have not yet received them. Sorry!

I’ve enjoyed the Charles Heidsieck Rose NV and feel it’s a strong QPR. Is the vintage Rose of similar style? Worth climbing the ladder?
Thanks,
Peter

The 2008 Charles Heidsieck Rose is a very nice wine. More brightness, structure, elegance, and intensity than the 2006 Rose and still rather young, but also quite enjoyable to drink now. I like it a little more than the 2008 blanc Vintage from Charles Heidsieck, but I think Roses really excelled in 2008 as they added a nice bright, fruity profile to the structure and tightness that often is at the front of this vintage.

Compared to the NV, I think it is worth the uptick in price, but the NV Rose is very good as well - especially for a rounder, easier, earlier drinking wine. The vintage is normally a more precise (relatively speaking) and with greater positive development over time.
