TN: 2014 Dauvissat-Camus Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos

Somebody faked this wine. They crushed up a bunch of rocks, added a ton of lemon zest, and then topped it off with mineral water. There’s no way this came from grapes.

is this a positive review or a negative one?

Wait another 10 years to open?

Do you feel lucky…punk?

Wow

What? Didn’t get the reference, or don’t understand the premox risk?

Still, not fizzy, right? :grinning:

I know premox. Just not sure about when to dive into those 14’s in my cellar. Risk vs reward.

It’s part of why I opened one. Too young, but I prefer that over DOA.

Well, what does your crystal ball say? I have Forets also……

My crystal ball says I’m not buying any more. the prices plus the premox risk just don’t make sense. right now I’m drinking 2010’s and 2012’s (plus 11’s, but I’ve had a fair amount of '11 premox.

Drunk one Forest 14 in December with friends, we decanted it and gave it 2 hours. Very appoachable and quite similar to David’s note of Les Clos : very zesty, mineral. I liked it.
I got 6 at a good price recently, and might open another one soon, and let the others age.

Unfortunately Wormtongue tossed it away when the Ents took Isengard.
