2018 Weingut Spreitzer Oestricher Lenchen Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Rheingau (1/16/2022)
Nice lychee flavors and hint of rubber, no malic notes, very smooth. Can’t gripe about sweetness when drinking a kabinett;) But unfortunately lacking in acid/tension, making it a bit short. Not bad, just not terribly komplex. (88 pts.)

This bottling is much better drunk 10-15 years from the vintage. Heck the 2002 is still improving.
I can’t see it improving that much without the structure at the back end.
I have run across enough lower acid vintages (and 2018 isn’t that low) to know that when they shrug off some of the baby fat there is a different and more structured wine underneath. Seen that with ‘97, ‘99, ‘03, ‘11, etc.
