TN: 2005 Domaine Camus-Bruchon & Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières

Perfumed, mature nose of dried blackberry, black cherry, plum, sous bois, and mushrooms. Non-descript black fruit on the palate, slightly faded. Fully resolved tannins, bright acidity, and spicy, earthy minerality that lingers over a long finish. At peak now, probably has a handful of years at its current plateau but if you’re wanting the fruit I wouldn’t hold any longer. (92 pts.)

Don’t get your pantaloons in a bunch. It was my only bottle.

I expect a DRC note next time, or at least Roumier.
