I liked his writing and am sorry to hear this news.
How very sad for his loved ones and the Wine Specator team. They must be gutted. He was a gentleman and always polite during regional visits.
It’s also a sad day for the reader. My sense was that he cared about the wine consumer very much.
I met Kim back in 2014 at the NYWE, and chatted with him each year thereafter at the event. He was a nice guy who always expressed an interest in my family and me. God rest his soul and may his family find peace in the life that he lived.

Met him a couple of times and he was a really down-to-earth guy and pleasant company. Very likeable. A real shock and sad news. RIP Kim.
