TN 2014 Ch de Fieuzal blanc

2014 Ch de Fieuzal blanc Pessac Leognan.
Popped the cork on this inspired by Otto’s recent white Bordeaux thread. Pale/medium yellow with some gold. You get both sauv blanc and semillon nose right away with a little dominance of the former at the open but with air more of the latter. Gooseberry, lime, lanolin, waxiness in abundance. Later pie-crust maybe apple pastry finish? You could find a lot in this the longer you linger. Palate cleansing acidity, nicely balanced with the tension to age I think. A very good food wine at this point. Glad I have a few more. 4 (out of 5).
