Wine sightings in shows/film

Name a show or movie (film that isnt about wines) where wine was in the scene.

I will start first
Emily in Paris. Season 2 maybe Episode 4 or 5?
3 or 4 girls sitting outdoors at a restaurant in Paris drinking Malartic-Lagraviere Blanc.

In Ratatouille there is a request for a bottle of Cheval Blanc 47 and the 61 Latour is poured

And in the recent Batman movie with Ben Affleck I believe there is are some bottles of old Margaux

There’s a million of these.

I will only contribute something I know nothing about and cannot confirm or deny it.

In the not very good Al Pacino movie 88 Minutes there is a scene where Pacino is talking and there are a bunch of wine bottles behind him. The shot is very short IIRC. From my one time viewing it appears that one of the bottles MAY be an original label version of Patricia Green Cellars. I’m pretty sure this movie was filmed in Seattle, not that they necessarily means anything but it might increase the odds of it happening. Just saying. I have never been able to confirm this because it would involve watching the movie again and I’m not going down that road.

BTW, Jayson Pahlmeyer has the absolute best story when it comes to this topic. Legendary.

Pretty sure Jeff Daniels loves his Margaux in the movie that traumatized me most as a child, Arachnophobia.

I spied a Château Angélus in the new James Bond No Time to Die. Q has a taste for fine Bordeaux.

Squid Game- DRC RC.

Sopranos- 86 Pichon Lalande (they stole 5 cases from the PLCB).

There’s a whole thread about what was drank on Billions.

Friends was notorious for having “steakhouse Cabs” on the table, like Silver Oak and Far Niente.

Christmas With The Kranks (criminally neglected by The Academy). Spotted this bottle of Ravenswood. Pointed it out to Joel via Facebook. He got a kick out of it.

Same wine is in Casino Royale.

I caught this one back in September when I watching reruns of 30 Rock.

Tons of episodes of Frasier - lots of wine discussions and every so often you’d see bottles and they could have been props/fake bottle but I do recall seeing some Dom P on a few episodes.

Yes. I remember thinking that no one with any taste would drink those with ratatouille. You need a Rhone!

Almost as much of a gaff as Miles railing about merlot and then savoring his Cheval Blanc.

Chateau Clinet (2 bottles) in Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

And the occasional Frasier parody

I always laught my ass off in the scene of the movie
L´Aile ou la Cuisse
(engl. title might be “The Wing and the Thigh” ???)
with Louis de Funés playing a food and wine critic.
Sitting with his son in a restaurant he´s going crazy watching him dissolving an Aspirin tablet in a glass of Romanée-Conti …

Love that movie! I’m a sucker for Louis de Funès, what can I say… You reminded me that I need to watch it again soon.
