TN: Southold TX High Plains WW '20.....(short/boring)

Tried this skin-contact WW over the weekend:

SoutholdFarmCellar Texas High Plains WW (11.74%; 66% Roussanne/34% GrunerVeltliner; www.SoutholdFarmAndCellar.com; 35 ppm SO2 @ btl gets) Fredericksburg/TX 2020: Med.light gold color slightly cloudy/browning color; some Rouss/honeysuckle/honeyed not funky/earthy/herbal slight mucilage/Kansas haymow rather strange nose; bit soft slight tangy/metallic some sour slight Rouss/honeyed/honeysuckle slight resiny some earthy/haymow/cheesy strange flavor; med.long slight Rouss/honeysuckle earthy/haymow/herbal/cheesy soft somewhat weird/strange/non-wine finish; speaks of Rouss w/ a whisper; a rather strange/bizarre white but no natty character fortunately; just a strange white w/ little fruit & not particularly pleasurable. $19.50 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. This is a wnry started by Regan & Carey Meadow on the NorthFork of LongIsland and moved to the hill country of TX. Given it’s a PMWine Distributor wine, it’s a safe bet that they make “natural” wines. It fortunately did not show any of the natty character of those, just on the weird not particularly pleasant side.
