Thanksgiving wines

2006 Dom Perignon was bright golden, youthful with plenty of zest, brioche and fresh. Lovely.

1985 Leroy Nuits St. Georges le Richemone was a pristine bottle from my original release purchase. The cork was moldy on top and soaked all the way through. The Durand worked its magic and got it all out in a few twists. Beautiful color with just a bit of browning. The nose was just what a 35+ year old burgundy should be - earthy, sous bois, tea. The palate started out nicely but over the course of a couple hours it lost a bit of the fruit and became a little oxidized. A wonderful wine to drink now.

excellent. Happy bird day. We had 02 Dom. Sucked it down too quick to take or make notes. But delicious.
