TN: 1999 Dehlinger Pinot Noir *High Plains* Estate

1999 Dehlinger Pinot Noir High Plains Estate – alc 14.8%

A wine begging to be unleashed. Lovely clear garnet color in the glass. Bright aromas of red stone fruits that gain spice with air. Seamless and seductive on the palate – more satin than velvet.

Fully integrated in every respect, the flavors gain depth and complexity with a little time, making the wine irresistible. It’s a bit like hugging an old friend and an absolute joy to drink.

If you are fortunate enough to have a bottle, please stand it up for a day or two and have at it. I cannot imagine it offering more pleasure than it does right now.

Nice note Allan…those older Dehlinger Pinot’s are great wines. The balance and texture are spot-on.

I think all of the pinots need at least 5 years before drinking. 2013 Goldridge pinot is drinking perfectly now!

Thanks for the feedback. We were surprised at how “complete” the wine drank - simply beautiful.

Thanks Allan. I just checked inventory to find 5 of these in storage.

When’s dinner???
