Haven’t had the CV, but I have had some other M-G 2002s over the last year or so. Drinking very well in a not quite mature way.

Can’t help here with your wines, but I did get a chuckle… I was also deciding this week between two 2002 burgundies: Girardin Savigny Serpentieres and Jadot Savigny La Dominode. Slightly different dirt, but I’m looking forward to opening one tomorrow. I’d be pretty happy with either of yours too.

The Ponsot is nice. The Mugneret Gibourg is amazing. FWIW.

Yes I think it’s really quite good. A bit primary still. The last two times I had this wine I found it quite hardy and a bit hard to penetrate, but very good nonetheless.

not the CV, but i had the 02 chaignots and ech side by side earlier this year

the chaignots was singing, the ech outstanding but would have been better in 5-10. i suspect the CV would be similar or more firm than the ech.

fwiw, i think better 00 and 01s are drinking very well right now
