TN: 2019 Georg Breuer Riesling Terra Montosa (Germany, Rheingau)

Such a consistent wine this one, at a very good price point. Would probably age well but I enjoy it too much at this stage to wait.

Very stylish and appealing on the nose with delicious peach note, apple, white pepper and crushed rock. Sort of restrained yet detailed too. On the palate rather broad and powerful with the sort of acidity that rolls out as a wave instead of a laser-like spine. Generously fruity yet quite dry, not overtly ripe and definitely without any hints of botrytis. Has volume and some viscosity too, definitely no featherweight despite low 12% ABV. A serious wine but not too serious, I’m finding plenty of enjoyment here. Very firmly textured with a persistent, balanced finish.
