Stood upright for a month or so. Uncorked 4 hrs. ahead, 45 min. decant. Rather a lot of sediment. Deep nose of black fruits, fresh tobacco, leather, and winter spices. On the palate fresh, with good acidity, tannins there but softened, and long.
Very nice with a corn fed chicken with lemon, rosemary, and garlic, cornbread, and fresh green beans.
