Very interesting wine. Clemens Busch seems to like to experiment, and the other wine I’ve had from him also had mild skin contact. It never becomes a full orange wine vibe, just barely a hint of it. But it transforms the wine into a parallel reality, where down is up and up is down. On the nose, more of regular Riesling feel, but on the palate it’s yoghurt and sour apples and that oxidative, nutty note. Bone dry, not a hint of sweetness. Like I said, a very interesting wine, but perhaps best enjoyed with a more rustic white wine dish than enjoyed on its own, like most skin contact whites. They demand their time and place and it would not be a wine I’d open to just sip in the afternoon. (90 pts.)
