2018 Château Coudray Montpensier Chinon Le Grand Bouqueteau Reserve - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (8/4/2021)
I thought this was rather nice. Was a by the glass pour in a restaurant in Charlotte, NC and it had probably had ample time to breathe, as it was rather soft and feminine. Velvety and with no jabbing tannins or lip curling acid. Violets and hint of sweet licorice. Oaking just on the right side - you can tell it’s there, but it’s very elegant. (91 pts.)
