AlfredGraf Riesling ErdenerTreppchenVnyd/Mosel (Pradikatswein; Spatlese; 7.5%; A.P.Nr. 2 576 280 0097 18; SkopertaImprts/ClevelandHeights/OH) Bernkastel-Kues 2016: Med.gold color; strong floral/R/mango/ripe slight botrytis/peachy bit Mosel valve oil lovely classic young Mosel/R nose; quite tart/tangy rather sweet (5%-7% r.s?) very strong floral/R/mango slight botrytis/peachy bit Mosel/valve oil/petrol complex rather primary/Spatlese flavor; very long/lingering rather tart strong R/floral/mango light petrol/Mosel valve oil finish; a really lovely classic young Mosel Spatlese that needs 5-15 yrs of age; still pretty primary & on the sweet side. $15.50 (KK)

Carlisle Zin SonomaCnty (14.9%) 2006: Dark color w/ some bricking; strong Zin/spicy/blackberry some toasty/oak bit cedary/pencilly/oldZin/tired fairly fragrant nose; lightly tart fairly tired/dried out/oldZin/cedary/pencilly light blackberry/Zin/spicy some toasty/oak flavor w/ modest tangy/astringent tannins; very long some astringent/bitter fairly tired/dried out finish; a somewhat attractive spicy/Zin nose but pretty tired/dried out on the palate.

No BP today.
