TN: 2004 Wendouree Shiraz Malbec

In a very good place. It has a core of dark fruits and a hint of eucalyptus. There are all sorts of savoury nuances, with notes of soot, ironstone, bitter chocolate and earth. It has a thread of licorice weaving through the flavour profile, granite-like tannins and an uptick of fresh acidity to the long finish.

we rarely see Wendouree here though I bought a little from Patrick recently. Too young to drink mine. Thanks for the note.

Nice note. Have loved the 04s from down under.
