TN: Arcese Bianco Piemonte WW NV...(short/boring)

Found this new white at Kokoman, so wanted to try it:

  1. Arcese Bianco WW (13%; L1-2019; Arneis/Cortese/Sauvignon Blanc/Favorita/Vermentino; Louis/Dresner Slctns) Bera Vittorio e Figli/Serra Masio di Canelli NV (2019): Pale yellow near colorless w/ lots of frizzante/bubbles; rather simple/grapey slight Arneis/floral light earthy pleasant enough nose; soft fairly sweet (4%-5% r.s.?) grapey/simple/slight floral quite spumante rather unthrilling flavor; short grapey rather sweet finish; pretty sweet & lots of frizzante; a pretty dull/simple frizzante white. $19.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. This wine is co-frmtd in concrete tanks. Aged w/ no SO2 in concrete tanks. Then sugar is added & bttld, so it undergoes a 2’nd fermentation in the btl. When opened, there was a big puff of a CO2 cloud. A thoroughly unthrilling natural wine, but at least clean & not natty.
