TNs: Twomey 2010 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

Berserkers,

Shared this lovely cool climate California Pinot Noir that has been aging patiently a rather long time in my collection. I believe I picked it up in 2012 so I was definitely looking forward to opening it:

TWOMEY 2010 ANDERSON VALLEY PINOT NOIR

SUMMARY: A flavorful delicate Pinot Noir that is virtually indistinguishable from Burgundy. An eye-opener.

Deep crimson purple in the glass but with a slight translucence to it. Loads of sour cherry fruit on the nose. On the palate, rich cherry and cranberry fruit and beautifully integrated tannins that I can tell were quite strong when they were younger. Everything has settled in and this has a clean mouthfeel to it. Really quite flavorful and very delicate in body. Honestly, if this were served blind I would guess Burgundy and not California. This is literally the only bottle I have, had I known how good it would turn out to be I would have bought at least one more.

I thought their RRV bottling was pretty ripe, and showing some wood (at least a 2008 tasted at age 11).
