TN: 2014 Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chateniere

2014 Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chateniere - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru (5/12/2021)
A little hard to get much on the nose, except a touch of SO2; the palate is where this wine shines, with wonderful intensity and depth of perfectly ripe fruit, nice saline and umami character, strong but balanced acidity, and a long finish that weaves the saline and some nice mineral notes together. Opened last night, it is more open and balanced 24 hours later, don’t be afraid to give this plenty of air, or bury it in the cellar for several years more. Delicious now, and for years to come. Thanks Alan.
These wines are very good and wines from St Aubin seem to be very much in vogue.
I have a fair stack l of Lamy and PYCM St Aubins - it is a good problem to have!

super producer, wine, and year. Had a 15 recently that was a bit weak.
