TN: 2018 Red Electric Interurban Armstrong Vineyard Pinot Noir

A quick note to point out just how much I REALLY enjoyed this wine. Wonderful. Bright, energetic red fruit, floral notes, cinnamon and rose hip. Bright acids and lovely integration and balance front to back. Perfect food wine and just a great, transparent interpretation of RR Pinot. Kudos Doug. That this wine is out there for between $20-$30 a bottle is a gift. I need to order some more. [cheers.gif]

Of course I’m just seeing this now, three months later rolleyes but thank you for the note! Hard for me to pick a favorite between the 16 and 18, but we are about to label our 19s (new label, by the way) and this may be the most intense, satisfying of the three Interurbans. But, picking children you know.

cheers,
Doug

Just an update from last night, as I reloaded from the most recent BD:

I have become a red electric stan. And this is just another supporting data point. Wonderful purity of fruit, with energetic notes of queen Anne cherries, rose petal, cinnamon stick and a nuance of morrocan spices and tree bark. Lovely, integrated mouth feel with good depth, more red fruit trending to plum and lively acid. Fine tannins. At under $30 this is like stealing. Glad I have more.
