TNR: 2008 Salon

#1 Post by Michael S. Monie »

With all of the hoopla of how the 08 Salon was released, I'm wondering if anyone has had it and was it worth the hype. TIA

Young Salon is SO painfully high toned to drink...I can’t imagine anyone who ponies up for the 08, opens it just yet?

you aren’t thinking about buying one of those mags are you? Audouze tasted it, I believe, even though it’s a couple centuries too young for his palate.

If W-S is accurate, it seems like the going rate for a single magnum is approaching $6k. That's ... a lot. Equivalent to 27 bottles of '08 Cristal.

Nevertheless, I'd love a taste if someone else is opening!

I got one of the mags (without having to get the chaff) but am sure not going to open it anytime soon.
