TN: 2018 Walter Scott Chardonnay Freedom Hill Vineyard (USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley)

This wine is DA BOMB right now! The massive match strike reduction has integrated beautifully into the creamy crystalline orchard fruits…punchy citrus twang with the lemon/lime acidity…crushed rocks and minerals salt up the butter sauté of fresh tropical fruit…creamy and delicious…nothing sticks out…so balanced with symmetry and yummy-ness! Pretty florals and spice linger on the persistent finish…with the only negative…my last bottle! Just wonderful stuff! (95 pts.)

Picked up one of these from BD12, will need to prioritize drinking it! Thanks for sharing your tasting note.

Idk about 95, but it’s mighty fine, recently beating out a 2016 Bernard Moreau Chassagne Montrachet village and a 2016 Model Farm SCM chard by a good margin. I’m a buyer of more.

Still showing available online!

Had this over the weekend, really enjoyed it.

Anyone buy the 2019 tasting kit and have an idea how the 2019s vintage is tasting and is quality wise for their Chards?

Saw the 2018 X Novo is on sale here:
