A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. Schioppettino, also known as Ribolla Nera, is one of my favorite Friuli grapes. The Pietro was a beautiful example of that grape. I liked the Matthiasson as a pretty wine, but would liked a bit more ripeness & intensity. Schioppettino/Tazzalenghe/Terrano…all grapes they should be planting all up&down the Coast of Calif.

Love Scioppettino

Thanks for posting! Interesting, didn’t know Schioppettino was grown outside of Friuli/Brda area.
