2018 Ridge Carrolitos Pinot Noir

Ridge’s 1st Pinot in 50 years… any other buyers?

Thoughts?

The last, maybe only, Ridge Pinot was the '71 Ridge CoastRange Pinot. Think the grapes were from main area of SCM, above LosGatos.
I will probably buy out of curiosity, but with fairly low expectations.

Corralitos?

Why such low expectations Tom? Couldn’t find the exact vineyard, but given that it’s labeled Corralitos and Santa Cruz County I’m guessing it’s about a mile or so from the Schultze Vineyard at Windy Oaks.

Quick search shows 2018 Ridge Gali vineyard pinot noir. I live in Corralitos, never heard of Gali

Rhys Mt. Pajaro Vineyard is in the same vicinity. I look forward to hearing the verdict on this.

Well, Taylor… I’m just not getting my hopes up. I’m Hoping to be pleasantly surprised though. I expect it to taste like a PinotNoir made by a Ridge Zin producer. Don’t expect it will have a lot of SCM Pinot character.
Probably what I’m gonna do is right up my TN before I taste it. And then a TN when I actually taste it & you can compare.
I had low expectations on the two GrenacheBlancs and the Falanghina. I was quite pleasantly surprised.
