TN: 2017 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot

The nose has some white peach, spearmint and smoky mineral. It is a dense and sappy wine, with fabulous intensity and great chew. There’s a huge puff of chalk to the long finish. It is supremely youthful, but thoroughly enjoyable.

PYCM and you are in the zone.

Great note. I hope my '17’s–Les Chevenottes and Chassagne Abbaye de Morgeot Cuvee Clement et Emma–drink as well. Even if they do, I know my note won’t be of this caliber, but I guess I can live with that

What’s the difference between the bottle Jeremy and Joshua reference ?

Good question, Nick,

I looked on Skurnick and elsewhere could not find an answers. The Chassagne-Montrachet site does not even list it under PYCM. I’m bumping this, thinking one of our resident experts might have an answer.

Love “puff of chalk” notes and all things PYCM.

If I remember correctly, the Clement & Emma Morgeot 1er cru bottling is a limited special cuvee from within the choicest parcel of the appellation.
