TN: 2018 Roulot Meursault

TBH, this is pretty meh right now. I think it suffers from the vintage a bit - lacking the tension and acid-driven fruit I expect from Roulot. Some ripe white fruit, almond skin, light florals, an almost waxy texture on the palate. Clearly a well-judged effort but this needs time to integrate and chew through some of its structure.

Thanks. Will bury mine for a few years.

I must say that I am a bit torn by Roulot. I have had ethereal experiences with this producer but an equal amount of ‘meh’. At the current price point it makes it a hard choice. But like golf, a few perfect shots makes you come back for the experience.

I’ve never had a “meh” Roulot (and visited the cellar 3-4 times), but haven’t had anything since '13, I believe. Has something changed there?

My guess is I just hit this bottle at a bad time.
