TN: 2018 Paetra Gewürztraminer (USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Van Duzer Corridor)

Immediate Gewurz aromatics. The tropical and spice elements jump out of the glass. There’s a deep, almost dark rose tone. It feels like a bass note, which is not what I expected, but it gives excellent depth. Dry and mouthfilling, this is very well done. Right there with the Navarro renditions, and stacking up well with the Trimbach yellow label, if in a darker hue. I like this very much.

I enjoyed this as well. I found the wine to be well balanced and it smells and tastes great. It benefited from leaving it sideways for 2 years imo. I drank up all my stash from BD I purchased 2 yrs ago.
