Christophe Mignon's Champagnes?

Any thoughts on this producer’s Champagnes? I’m primarily interested because he is a Meunier specialist.

I’ve really enjoyed the basic BdN, Rose, and 2006 Nature, but haven’t had others.

Great wines and would have no problem buying one blind/without having tasted.

I’ve had NV Pur Meunier from a couple of different releases and have been incredibly impressed. For $40, I can’t think of another champagne in my cellar that I’d rather drink. I will be a buyer in the future and plan to also pick up some of his vintage pinot meuniers.

Cheers,

Hal

I tried his NV Blanc De Noirs Brut Nature (NV Christophe Mignon Champagne Blanc de Noirs Pur Meunier Brut Nature, France, Champagne - CellarTracker) recently and was surprised at how good it was for only $45 in my area. I plan on exploring more of his wines in his portfolio when I have the chance. I just bought the 2010 vintage from Envoyer so excited to try it when it comes as well.

I’ve had the Brut Nature several times. A bit austere, particularly young, 2-3 years in the cellar improves the wine dramatically.

I grabbed a case of the rose on a lark and sampled my first bottle recently. It was brilliant.

  • NV Christophe Mignon Champagne ADN de Meunier Rose Brut - France, Champagne (1/31/2021)
Pale copper colored with a hint of pink. Guava, rose hips and citrus on the palate with good concentration and structure. Finishes medium. Interesting and tasty today; will improve with additional time sideways.

Notes: a blend of equal parts 2015/2016 vintages with some still wine blended in (assemblage). Disgorged Jan 23, 2020. 12%abv. (93 pts.)

Very well made and terrific value imo

when the fuck did you start posting here? champagne.gif

^what adam said is spot on. Their base NV and rose are pretty available and well worth drinking

Guess I’ll have to buy some more bottles and show some patience to see how it develops in 2-3 years champagne.gif

Wondering if anyone has had Mignon’s ADN de Foudre, his 100% chardonnay champagne?
