Re: Bedrock Wine Co. Spring 2021 Release save The Date 2/16 & 2/24
As a relatively new Bedrock buyer, I'm continuing with my practice of buying one of each (with a few minor exceptions). Normally I don't like buying only one of anything, but there are SO MANY and I don't know them well enough to know which I'd want more of.

The reason why I frequently went over a case with each release. I was able to keep it to one case this time.SeanHarding wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 9:26 am As a relatively new Bedrock buyer, I'm continuing with my practice of buying one of each (with a few minor exceptions). I buy a lot of Bedrock, but never tried the Sav Blanc. Any thoughts there?

Ordered 6 rose. Given the state of our cellar (full) and my recent BD purchases (still arriving), I just shut my eyes and scrolled down the page so I wasn’t tempted by more! Had to try the rose, though, given what I’ve read about it here.

Order in, but phew, it's killing me that they all come at the same time... Enfield, Rivers-Marie, Ridge also release at exactly same time...

In for 2 cases. Had to trim it back some. I think Bedrock just took over the #1 winery in my collection with this order too.

Had to go back and edit my purchases to get it back to just 2 cases. Sorry to hear no Judge Family Sauv Blanc but those grapes should make a great addition to the Sonoma Valley SB.

I feel like I showed a lot of restraint, but I ordered 2 bottles of everything except the 2 Cabs, which I ordered 3 each. This is quickly becoming my favorite winery.

Interested in the earlier comments on the Lulu. When I first ordered some - can’t recall which year - I was initially underwhelmed and not sure what all the fuss was about. Later in the summer, I opened one and it was so very very good. So drink some other Roses first ... then head into these.
I’m a fan of Bedrock Rieslings so looking forward to the comparison of the two.

Only ordered 2 this time. I think with it being mostly Montecillo Vineyard fruit, it will be VERY good.

Bedrock LuLu is our summer house wine. We went through more than two cases last year.
It’s funny, we like to experiment and try many different wines, but sometimes you just like to know exactly what you are headed to the cellar for.
This year we'll also try all the Oregon roses we can find, that’s why I’m holding the line at just two cases.

We have a couple others we order in smaller quantities, but given the QPR on this, we max out (hoping for at least some sharing with friends during the summer depending on how things continue to progress...)Brady Daniels wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 12:14 pmSame.AD Northup wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 9:35 am Welp, 3 boxes here, but two of those are rose, so actually pretty happy with myself

Either way, more than happy with allocations, only tighter ones than normal appear to be Limerick Lane and Lulu (though this is in relative terms)

9 Lulu
3 Lucien
I was tempted by the Zins, but I've been buying them much faster than I've been drinking them lately. On the other hand, I'm game to try anything with Mourvedre.

Re: Bedrock Wine Co. Spring 2021 Release save The Date 2/16 & 2/24
Yep, I've been ordering for a long time and was allocated 2 LL'sAD Northup wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 12:57 pmI also received 2, first order I believe in 2015 as well. I know some people who have been ordering big for a long time, and sounds like 2 is the max anyone has seen.matt d wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 12:38 pmallocated 2 and have been ordering since 15Evan Tunis wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 10:26 am
Same...Ordered a ton of Bedrock in the last 12 months and received zero Limerick which is odd.

Kept it to SB and Lulu, plus a small restock of Cali Syrah.

I had the ‘17’s and was underwhelmed. I also had a ‘13 Monticello recently and didn’t think it fit my style either. So I passed.

Yup. You can ask them to include previously released bottles in your shipment. I’ve only done it for the entry level “volume” bottles.Tom G l a s g o w wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 5:57 pmSyrah?JeremyMullman wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 5:42 pm Kept it to SB and Lulu, plus a small restock of Cali Syrah.

Managed to keep it to a case. 6 Lulus, which is clearly insufficient supply, and then 6 various reds.

Yeah, I was bummed out about no Judge S-B this year too. The Judge seemed a little more rounded out, maybe even tropical? Regardless, it was in my wheel house. I guess I will have to hold out for the Bedrock version this year and see how that turns out. Cheers!Roger Ouellette wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 10:17 am Had to go back and edit my purchases to get it back to just 2 cases. Sorry to hear no Judge Family Sauv Blanc but those grapes should make a great addition to the Sonoma Valley SB.
