TN: 2013 EMH Black Cat Special Selection

2/9 that I got from benchmark.

A little reticent on pnp, decanted for 90 min and it opened up a bit. Not as much fruit as my last visit tgiving 2019. Very pure fruits and nice acidity. Tannins fine and not obtrusive. Nice finish. Old school classic Napa cab but I wished for just a little more fruit. Still extremely tasty. Paired well with Morgan ranch striploin and ribeye and holy grail Sonoma rack of lamb.

Hold, I am gonna wait another year for the next bottle and hope the fruit re-emerges.

There were some leftovers with 5 of us; I would rather cook a bigger meal right now because it’s cold af due to polar vortex and not that pleasant to be out grilling.
