TN: 2015 Bouchard Père et Fils Nuits St. Georges

  • 2015 Bouchard Père et Fils Nuits St. Georges - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges (2/5/2021)
Light in color. Fruity, summery nose. Lots of red fruit on palate, “zaftig” in style, light. Didn’t detect much oak. But very well balanced and delightfully easy to drink. (92 pts.)

Thanks Adam. Bouchard is killing it these days IMO.

Pic? Not Bouchard…

JC Boisset produces some good value wines, I have been grabbing some Beaune Greves in the last few vintages

Cellartracker has the wrong cover picture. The other pics are the correct ones, but you can’t chose any of those when you post here, only the cover picture. It’s the correct wine.

The pic comes from CT, boys. Doesn’t mean it’s his bottle…

Thanks for the note. Bought lots of their 15 1er cru’s. Seemed like a relative value but haven’t opened any yet.

Bouchard reds are definitely zaftig, but they are very reliably substantial and fun to drink. I got a few 2015 Bouchard villages, the Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanee, and they were really good if young. Will last a long time. Unfortunately as elsewhere in Burgundy the price has been rising sharply.

I ran into a pile of beaune by JC Boisset… have you had the 17?
