NV Veuve Fourny & Fils Champagne Premier Cru Grande Réserve Brut - France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru (1/9/2021)
– tasted non-blind –
– 375 mL –
NOSE: light; lightly yeasty, but pretty basic/straightforward; bright citrus.
BODY: pale yellow color; persistent, lively bead; light to medium-light bodied.
TASTE: crisp; lemon-lime; pretty dry, but a noticeable hint of sweetness — this is not austere; stylistically, similar to Laherte Freres “Ultradition”. Good QPR @ $20 for a half bottle. Gut impression score: 88 - 90.
