2017 Sandlands Merlot - USA, California, Napa Valley, Coombsville (2/2/2021)
12.9% abv. Medium-dark ruby, wonderful aromatics. I taste ripe plum, some mint and eucalyptus, sage and blue fruit. Excellent depth and length, with surprising complexity. This is excellent now and will probably get nothing but better over the next 5-8 years. Merlot - what a concept! (93 pts.)

Love hate here…love the wine…hate that COVID hit me the next day! Unfortunately NOT a wine I want to remember.

I don’t know, sounds like that wine brought good luck. Maybe you should celebrate the last thing you drank before surviving a deadly disease?
