2017 myglands

I have this open and it’s superb. Full notes later

Yes, that was good. I haven’t had the ‘18 yet though - anyone tried both?

This is to my mind one of the greatest values in burgundy these days. I haven’t tried '17 or '18, but I did buy plenty of the 2010, 12 and 15s.

Yes, of course

The 18 is darker and richer as you would expect, but I thought it was very good. Not necessarily better than the last several vintages. I didn’t buy it as the price was getting high and storage space low.

Interestingly my wife absolutely hated this.

+1 - that’s pretty much it.

2019 is a step up, and the best Myglands I tasted.

If I did this one it would have been “Myglands are Swollen…”

I’ve never heard of this wine and thought it was a joke… not the most appetizing name!

Lol, you guys beat me to the punch

Wtf, who chose this name lol.

Some people should just stay out of Burg threads

I have some bottles of 2010 Myglands. What is a good age to drink those?

I’ve made a note to clear some space…

Drank probably one too many one night of these and the group thought ‘Close to my glands’ was hilariously funny at the time. Of course it is not!

Over the next 15 years I would think.

I haven’t had that one recently but some of the other “lesser” Faiveley 2010s have been great since release. I think their new style (since ~2007) is particularly friendly for early drinking in the wines at the lower end of the price range that are less oaky.

LOL, what was wrong with it?

… or her?

Your wife hated your glans? [snort.gif]

Yeah, and I see no reason not to open one now to check in.

Thoughts on the Clos du Roy?

Didn’t try it yet, but I’ll be hoping to visit this Spring as usual.
