TN: 2013 Ceritas Pinot Noir Porter-Bass Vineyard

The Ceritas thread piqued my curiosity. This one’s got great integration, but still a long way to go. Great bottle, though.

Ruby color throughout, medium depth with clarity. Freshness and purity in the aromatics. Notes of pomegranate & fig, hints of red apple skin, juniper, sandalwood, stony soil, dried tarragon, five spice. Zesty and refined on the palate, with fresh red fruit skin and flesh gaining intensity as it moves. Dense secondary depth, round and seamless yet slightly firm. Sturdy structure, fresh and vibrant in its acidity, very fine elegant tannins. Lengthy mouthwatering zest on the finish. A very pretty, understated wine at first that reveals multifaceted complexity as it goes. Great stuff. No hurry on this, glad I have another.

Love ceritas Pinots. There is a transparency to them that really appeals to be. The opposite of muddled flavors.
