TN: 2017 Burgs at Home via Coravin

Ordered some wines from a new store and already over the free shipping, so figured I’d add some 2017 burgs to give them a go. Both showed well, and reminded me why it’s so fun to do side by side tastings.

Darker blackberry fruit, some very subtle oak gives it both a bit more tannin and sucrosite. Still quite drinkable now and likely better in a few years.

2017 red burgundies seem to be showing well. Hard to find mentions of tightness or reticence for the most part.

Had this last night, and it was really good, love 2017 burgs.

Finished up the guillemot tonight, showed a bit more fruit sweetness than the first time around. Really delicious.

thought it wouldn’t be changed since you used Coravin.

Young 2017s have been terrific out of the gate.
