2010 Vega Sicilia Pintia

Worthy of a TN:

2010 VEGA SICILIA PINTIA TORO- 15% abv; 100% Tinta de Toro, the superior local clone of Tempranillo; decanted 3 hours ahead of pouring, this inky, dark purple, teeth staining, full bodied wine is the epitome of blackberry nectar from the nose through the tail; notes of cedar and dark chocolate provide just the perfect accents; it's way too young now, but it has so much to give and there's plenty of treasures to glean early on and the most prudent cellaring advice would be to hold on to this for at least another decade.

"In victory you deserve Champagne. In defeat, you need it".
Napolean Bonaparte

“Remember gentlemen, it’s not just France we are fighting for, it’s Champagne!” – Winston Churchill
