This was the only Roty Burg I had never sampled (It IS a rare duck).

2006 Griottes Chambertin (Roty)
Dark crimson red with a touch of amber at the edge.
Wonderful nose of violets, maraschino cherries and smoked ham.
Elegant, structured, perfectly ripe red fruit entry led to a very long spicy, oily finish.
Beautiful balance to this feminine Burg!
Very subtle, complex flavors.
Will continue to age and develop, but quite tasty now.
