I love Ed’s wines - literally all of 'em, but as a result I may end up sitting on one or two a bit longer than I should. This wine is starting to develop that dark, golden hue old Chards tend to take on. On the nose, some oxidative notes, but also minerals, butterscotch, and lemon curd. A bit of caramel on the palate, crisp acidity still, with notes of green apple on the backend. Still a very nice, enjoyable wine, and will go quite well with lobster tail tonight, but I probably should have opened this 3-4 years ago.
Drink 'em if you got 'em!
